“I think you could fall in love with anyone if you saw the parts of them no one else gets to see. Like if you followed them around invisibly for a day and saw them crying in their bed at night or singing in the shower or humming quietly to themselves as they make a sandwich or even just walking along the street. And even if they were really weird and had no friends at school, I think, after seeing them at their most vulnerable, you wouldn’t be able to help falling in love with them.”—Unknown (via 4thletter)
The fact that the majority of teenagers would rather listen to Justin Bieber or Taylor Momsen over Jimi Hendrix or Pink Floyd makes me want to fucking kill myself. Literally.

I love the PYC high I get during the retreat and how I’m able to get to know people and get close to them in such a short period of time. There are some people I met at my first retreat in 2010 that I still keep in touch with today and still leave me warm fuzzies. PYC brings people together and empowers us as both individuals and as members of our community. It taught me to Keep the Change, reminded me that Still I Rise with all of our beautiful struggles and to Stop and reflect about my experiences. It changed my life.
